Collage and Mixed Media on Canson XL Oil & Acrylic Canvas Paper 11x14 136lb. [Key/ Fave/ Milestone]

I love this piece because it represents a mind-shift in how I'm approaching my work and process. This was inspired by the mighty Prentler because of the use of digitizing in the process and overall contrast, line weight, and damaged/faded collage background. Printing and copies are nothing new to me, I always used that in my collage work, but everything opened up when I started composing the main figure digitally. Suddenly I could scale to my advantage and not be limited by the physical media, and also cut out things fast and precise. The mess and the mud could be reduced or eliminated, but I could still have some chaos within the form. I'm still printing it out and assembling it by hand and doing some cut-outs, but everything changed with this piece. There's clarity in this way of working.
