Collage and Mixed Media on 11"x14" Strathmore 400 series Mixed Media paper vellum surface.
I found a great book on exploitation movies and posters and some of them had some German versions. I'm about 50% German and my mom and Oma escaped East Berlin Germany from the Russians w/ the help of my Opa who was a U.S. G.I. to get to the U.S. I'm only recently learning the German language and it felt like the right time to start exploring some English/German text mashups. "verlorenen Welt" roughly translates in context to "Lost World" hence the title. I've heard lots of fragments of stories from this time but I don't think I've ever really understood the shocking weight of it. Ultimately it’s about having the strength to make life-changing decisions despite the damage you may sustain.
This is an original one-of-a-kind collage and there may be some light paper buckling, paper damage, and an uneven surface. It's fixed with light acrylic spray and stamped, signed, and dated on the back.

Just like in comic book collecting a key is usually the first in a series or when a new method of thinking is introduced.
